Today, similar innovation is happening at same time in different competing innovation systems by different actors in the world. Further the product life cycle has considerably reduced for new technology based products/services as competing & new technologies are always around the corner. Thus, ‘time to market' is very crucial for the success of the new technology based firms (NTBFs). There is certain phenomenon peculiar to NTBFs in countries with small home market and in this case we target Nordic NTBFs: the phenomena we term as ‘Chasm II’. With small home market the venture many a times suffer to grow after getting to early majority in the home market (for example: a company has lot of customer in Sweden but diffusion in other countries is inhibiting the growth) This is what we term as ‘Chasm II’, and this chasm comes in the market diffusion curve some- where after the home market is reached. A small home market results in that the NTBFs cannot grow fast beyond a small majority within it geographical proximity and it has to venture overseas to grow further. To grow across different geographical boundaries having different market structure, different culture, and different customer requirement, the NTBF needs support and big resource. The difference in market structure and requirement is particularly big, when comparing eastern countries to western countries or developed economies to developing economies.
